Artist:  Ava Eads      Culture:  Aleut & Alutiiq      Tribe:  Aleut

Bio:  Born and raised in Seward, trained with Merle Reed (Reed's Jewelry) in Moose Pass. 1968-69 worked for them on and off over next 10 years. Began making jewelry on my own in 1979. Other trades include commercial fishing, crew cooking, welding, heavy equipment operator, bartender, and taxi driver.
