Here's Pictures - Hope they jog someone's memory
Items #11 & #18 share the same signature but they don't seem to have the same carving style.
If
Raven was a consortium, anyone remember the names of some of the artists?  Think they're all circa 1960s - Pam

underside signed "Made in Alaska by Raven."

Item #18

I picked it up around 5 years ago and have often wondered about the history of this totem and the artist. It is absolutely beautiful!  . It stands just under 13in and the base is 3 1/2in x 3 1/4in.

My history with it started around 5 years ago. I purchased it from a Native store in Ocean City, WA - which is maybe 10 miles outside of the Quinault Reservation. I would tend to believe the owner/owners were from the Quinault Tribe. The store has been closed for at least 1-2 years

Hopefully getting these pictures together with your totem #11 will lead us to find out the history of the art & artist.

Item #11

I have a beautiful Totem which is
about 3’ high, the spread wings
make it about 3’ wide.

It is signed “Made in Alaska by Raven”,
so I assume the artist name is simply Raven.

It also has a number on the bottom, “61”. Could be the number the artist assigned to it, or the year it was made.

I believe the wood is either Spruce or Cedar, but more likely Spruce.

Do you have any knowledge of this artist? It’s a beautiful piece, and I am very interested to know the artist and the meaning behind the piece.
~ it was given to me as a gift.
