Most places celebrate Summer Solstice on the weekend closest Solstice.
Art Openings - Summer Months
Anchorage First Friday of Month - information Homer  First Friday of Month On the first Friday of each month, Juneau galleries, museums and shops stay open late, host show and exhibit openings, artist meet-and-greets, many activities.  No admission to City Museums after 4pm.  Generally all are open from 4pm to 7pm Juneau First Friday of Month Kenai/Soldotna First Thursday of Month Seward First Friday of Month Talkeetna Second Saturday of the Month
The galleries, studios, cafes and showrooms feature select artists works, some have the artist on site, many provide demonstrations of the art techniques
